After working with the young\u00a0\u00a0children, training them in research, filmmaking, interview techniques and oral history. Digital:works spent time with them out on the market\u00a0recording the fascinating history of this street market, interviewing the traders and shoppers,\u00a0and capturing a vivid snapshot of the market as it is today.<\/p>\n

The resulting film is part of The Stall Stories<\/a> project, conceived, coordinated and implemented by digital:works<\/strong> and funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.<\/p>\n

Sue Bowers, Head of the Heritage Lottery Fund London, told us how:\u00a0\u201cThis project illustrates how small businesspeople and market traders have been the lifeblood of local areas, reflecting the cultural character and economic conditions in individual neighbourhoods.\u201d<\/p>\n
