Rowley Way estate is the subject of an exhibition at the moment, “Creating a Piece of City: Neave Brown and the design of Alexandra Road” at Holborn Library from Tuesday 10th May until Friday 22nd July, 10am to 7pm.
The exhibition comprises black and white photography by leading architectural photographer Martin Charles, taken when the buildings were first finished, as well as original drawings by Brown and others and the newly restored wooden model of the entire project. Also included is an edited version of the film One Below the Queen produced last year by residents of the estate with the arts charity digital:works. It’s free so come find out more about the history and ideas behind the estate. More info at London Architecture Diary.
