We worked with 8 local volunteers in Kingston to explore the history of cinema and cinemagoing in Kingston. We partnered with Kingston Heritage Service and trained up the volunteers in oral history, interviewing and sound recording techniques. They then interviewed 15 people including academics to document the life and work of local man Eadweard Muybridge, considered to be the first moving image projectionist; local cinema workers, including usherettes, projectionists and house managers and cinemagoers dating back to the 1930s.

A launch screening took place at the Rose Theatre in Kingston to an audience of over 250 people who were treated to a b-film, the main feature and a Q&A with those involved in the project.
