An oral history project looking at boatyards on the tidal Thames from Tough's of Teddington to Cory's in Charlton.
Volunteers worked with digital:works to learn how to conduct oral history interviews and record them and they developed a variety of questions for the many different types of boatyards on the Thames. From building wooden rowing boats to maintaining large Thames passenger boats; building super yachts to painting houseboats, a variety of work takes place in the boatyards on the Thames.
The interviews have been edited to make an oral history based documentary about the boatyards that you can watch here.
